Shooting Sports
By Joshua Cochard
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about sports? You may think of football, soccer, or maybe even basketball. Well you might be surprised to hear that competitive shooting is an athletic sport. When you think about shooting, one thing that might come to mind would be your father teaching you how to shoot for the first time. But it’s much more than that; it’s a sport that takes years to perfect your skills. It’s so much of a sport that it holds a place in the Olympics, but that doesn’t mean you can’t participate in the sport. I personally got started in the sport when I was about ten, with our local 4-H program where I have shot everything from a pistol to a muzzleloader. It’s probably one of the best feelings when you shoot a perfect score on a target. That being said, it’s not as hard as you might think to get started in the sport. If you’re interested, you can contact your local 4-H office to find out if they offer shooting sports in your county.

Can The Colts Beat The Patriots?
By Corey Van Wye
The Colts just recently beat the Broncos in their last game on Sunday Jan. 11. It was a very exciting game for the most part, Andrew Luck ran the ball great Sunday, (something that Manning could never do) helping us in the end to gain that many more yards to lead us to victory.
Now that the Colts have claimed victory over the Broncos they face one of the best teams in the NFL, the PATRIOTS. The Patriots are literally Indianapolis’s worst enemy; there has been a rivalry between these two great teams since the beginning of time. The Colts are facing the Patriots on Jan. 18 @ 6:40 pm. Now it is expected by most people to be another loss for the Colts, but I strongly believe that if the Colts formulate a good well planned winning strategy and they play as hard as possible they have a very good chance of winning and making it to the Super Bowl.
In conclusion, the Colts are facing one of the hardest teams in their division. This is going to be one the hardest and most pressured games of the season; this game determines whether or not they make it to one of the biggest sports functions in the world. I am obviously rooting for the Colts to go all the way and take back home that trophy. I believe that with the statistics that the Colts have for this season (which you can check out on the ESPN website) that they have a very good chance of winning this whole thing.
EDITED TO ADD: Now that the game has taken place I must sadly give my new report. The Colts trying their hardest could not secure a victory this time; they lost 45-7 with a controversial act of the Patriots deflating their game footballs to under the required PSI amount 12.5. But even if this wouldn’t have happened I do not believe the Colts would have had too much of a chance for glory.

Classy Games
By Gabriel Cochard
One may wonder what a game with class is when I say classy games, I don't mean your every day game, I mean the games from yesterday. Yep, that's right, Gamecube, Gameboy, and even NES! I will be covering Nintendo Systems, because I personally love Nintendo, and I grew up with it.
Nintendo started way back in 1889, where it was just a card company, but it is so far from its roots. Now you can get a motion picture piece of equipment. Their original product could only move if you moved the card, and the picture never changed unless you drew on it. But on to the classy games.
I personally believe that anything Legend of Zelda or the Gamecube Animal Crossing is classy, because I played those. You had so many things to do, whether it be catching all the bugs you can find, or going on a crazy adventure to save a princess; these games just had class, and they should have a place in every gamer's heart.
Now even though I listed two games, there were many more: Duck Hunt, Sonic, Paper Boy, there are so many titles the list just goes on and on! But enough from me, why don't you tell me what some of your favorite titles were? Just list them and submit them to the drop box! Maybe I will expand on this topic later!
